Seneca Lace-Up Ankle Boot for Men in Dark Brown Leather

A men's lace-up ankle boot in vegetable-tanned calfskin, hand-dyed in a deep wenge brown. The colour never settles: it gathers along the sides and heel until it verges on black, lifts over the toe and the collar, shifts with the light.
Six pairs of burnished metal eyelets hold a round waxed lace in green and orange, the single bright note on an otherwise severe boot. The toe is round and full, with no attempt at elongation.
The construction is Blake rapid: an exposed leather midsole picked out by a contrast stitch, set on a lugged rubber outsole that grips on any surface. The lining is undyed natural leather, warm as raw hide.
Vegetable tanning does the rest over time. The leather darkens, gains a shine where the foot bends it, and the boot slowly becomes yours.
