Medicea also comes in a darker brown, almost chocolate: the toe narrows to a slim point, the shaft follows the leg without gripping it, and the block heel, 5cm tall, closes the silhouette with a decisive step. The vegetable-tanned suede has a soft hand to the touch and a matte surface that holds the light rather than throwing it back. A side zip on the inner edge of the shaft opens all the way to the bottom, from the top of the boot down to its base, making it easy to step in. The heel sits on a wide base: weight spreads across the full point of contact, keeping the step stable even at this height. The sole is rubber, with light grooves across the tread, ensuring grip and durability. The result is a boot built for the whole cold season.
How to style it
Medicea works just as well in this deeper tone. Pair it with corduroy trousers and a crewneck sweater for a warm winter look, or with a knit midi dress for something more polished. Dark brown sits well against bottle green and burgundy, but stays just as natural next to neutrals like beige or grey.
