The heel is spool-shaped: it narrows at the centre and opens again at the base, drawing a curve you can read from across a room. Five centimetres, a height that holds the posture without asking anything in return.
The shaft is cut from a single piece. There are no joins pressing against the ankle, and the suede follows the foot in one continuous line: a cut that takes more hide and leaves less room for error, and that is felt in the fit before it is seen.
The toe is tapered and elongated, just enough to slim the line without narrowing the forefoot.
The suede is brown, and on a surface this continuous the colour works through its full depth: the nap shifts in intensity depending on its direction, and the same boot reads warmer or darker according to how you look at it. That is how vegetable-tanned suede behaves.
