Basilio Brogue Chelsea Boot for Men in Dark Brown Leather

A Chelsea boot in vegetable-tanned leather, hand-dyed a deep brown, with full brogue detailing. The wingtip and its perforated medallion stay legible without asserting themselves: on this shade the brogueing stops being ornament and becomes structure.
In place of the usual elastic, two gores in stretch wool felt, matched to the leather. The colour stays the same: what changes is the material, matt and grainy against the smooth upper. The felt gives at the ankle like an elastic and insulates where a Chelsea is traditionally most exposed. At the heel, a red and black checked pull tab.
The construction is Blake rapid: an exposed leather midsole, contrast stitching around the welt, lugged rubber outsole. The lining is undyed natural leather.
The most balanced of the three: dark enough for wool trousers, rugged enough for heavy denim.
