Seneca Lace-Up Ankle Boot for Men in Brown Leather

A lace-up ankle boot for men in vegetable-tanned leather, hand-dyed in a warm tobacco brown. This is the lightest of the three Seneca finishes, and the one where the dyeing shows most clearly: the grain stays visible beneath the colour, and no two pairs come out alike.
Six pairs of burnished metal eyelets hold a round waxed lace in green and orange, which sits with this warmer ground rather than against it. The toe is round and full, with no attempt at elongation.
The construction is Blake rapid: an exposed leather midsole with contrast stitching, on a lugged rubber outsole. The lining is undyed natural leather, close in tone to the upper.
With vegetable tanning the brown deepens slowly. Within a couple of seasons the boot has the vintage look people usually go secondhand to find, except this one wore in on your own foot.
