Medicea is a boot that rises straight to the knee, with a line that never loses its nerve: the toe narrows to a slim point, the shaft follows the leg without gripping it, and the block heel, 5cm tall, closes the silhouette with a decisive step. The vegetable-tanned suede has a soft hand to the touch and a matte surface that holds the light rather than throwing it back. A zip runs the full height of the inner side of the shaft, opening all the way down and making it easy to step in. The heel sits on a wide base: weight spreads across the full point of contact, keeping the step stable even at this height. The sole is rubber, with light grooves across the tread, ensuring grip and durability. The result is a boot built for the whole cold season, in a warm cognac brown.
How to style it
Medicea works with more than one wardrobe. Pair it with a light wool midi skirt and a turtleneck sweater for a day in the city, or with tailored trousers and a long coat for a more structured weekend look. Cognac brown sits well against the warm tones of autumn, but also holds its own next to black or navy, for a sharper contrast.
