Enea Zip Ankle Boot for Men in Brown Leather

A zip ankle boot for men in vegetable-tanned leather, hand-dyed a luminous cognac. The upper is cut from a single piece: no seam crosses the instep, and the leather follows the shape without a break.
Two side zips in antiqued brass open the boot from either side. The teardrop pull and burnished finish belong to old hardware rather than modern fastening. At the heel, a leather pull tab, stitched in plain view.
The construction is Blake rapid: an exposed leather midsole picked out by a pale contrast stitch, set on a lugged rubber outsole. The lining is undyed natural leather.
Cognac is the shade where vegetable tanning does the most work. It catches the light along the creases, darkens where the foot presses, and within a season the boot has a vintage character no two pairs share.
