Bacco Chukka Boot for Men in Dark Brown Leather

A chukka boot in vegetable-tanned leather, hand-dyed a deep chocolate brown. Three pairs of eyelets, a plain toe, no decorative stitching: the most pared-back line in the collection, where only the leather shows.
On this shade the hand-dyeing works in depth rather than in range. The colour shifts less from area to area than in intensity: toe and heel take the light in, the instep gives it back. Vegetable tanning will keep darkening it with wear, toward the vintage character these boots are made for.
Underfoot, the Wearlight sole: made in Italy and known for its exceptional lightness. It cushions the step and flexes with the foot: you can walk on it all day and barely notice it. It is dyed to match the upper, so that the sole continues the leather instead of interrupting it.
The lining is natural leather; the insole carries the Leonardo mark.
