A Chelsea boot in vegetable-tanned leather, dyed an even navy. The least predictable of the four: in full light it stays clearly blue, in low light it behaves like black. Under grey suiting or beige trousers it works where black would read too hard.
Two elastic side gores open over the ankle and settle back without gripping. It is why a well-made Chelsea goes on in a single motion and stays put through the day.
Underfoot, the Wearlight sole: made in Italy and known for its exceptional lightness. It cushions the step and flexes with the foot, without the weight of a traditional bottom.
Unlike a leather bottom, rubber takes on no moisture and conducts cold poorly: the foot stays insulated from the ground, even on wet or frozen pavement. The lining is natural leather; the insole carries the Leonardo mark.
